Plot the points M, N, P on a coordinate grid. The length of Point M(-2, 3) to point N(4, 3) is 6 units, thus point P(5, -1) to point Q should also be 6 units. Opposite sides of a parallelogram are the same length. 6 units to the left of point P(5, -1) is (-1, -1). Further you can verify that point M(-2, 3) to (-1, -1) is the same length as Point N(4,3) to point P(5, -1). So opposite sides of the shape is a parallelogram. Thus point Q is (-1, -1).
