1. When Leaves open their pores which is known as stomata.

2. Sunlight enters in the leaves through open pores.

3. Sunlight absorbed minerals from Carbon dioxide and water.

4. Absorbed minerals converted into glucose.

5. Glucose will change in green color pigment known as cholorophyll.

6. This process may also convert carbon dioxide into oxygen.

It is convenient to divide the photosynthetic process in plants into four stages, each occurring in a defined area of the chloroplast: (1) absorption of light, (2) electron transport leading to the reduction of NADP+ to NADPH, (3) generation of ATP, and (4) conversion of CO2 into carbohydrates (carbon fixation).
