To get x, we will use the theorem that states that 'the measure of the vertex angle is equal to the half of the difference of the measures of its intercepted arcs. Hence;

45 = 1/2 (180 - x)

Cross multiply

45*2 = 180 - x

90 = 180 - x

x = 180 - 90

x = 90degrees

Let the angle o the same line with y be z. Hence;

z = 1/2(180+x)

z = 1/2(180+90)

z = 1/2 * 270

z = 135

Sum of angle on a straight line is 180 degrees

z + y = 180

135 + y = 180

y = 180 - 135

y = 45

Hence x = 90degrees and y = 45degrees
