Answer:

degree of the polynomial = 7

Number of terms = 2

Name = binomial

leading coefficient = 5

Explanation:

The polynomial is x³y² - 5x³yz³

The degree of a polynomial is the highest exponent of any of its variables.

But in this case where we have two variable together, we sum up their exponents and the Hughes one will be the degree of the polynomial.

Thus;

x³y² has a degree of 3 + 2 = 5

5x³yz³ has a degree of 3 + 1 + 3 = 7

Thus,7 is the highest and the degree of the polynomial is 7.

There are two terms which are x³y² and 5x³yz³

Since it has two terms, it is a binomial.

To get the coefficient, I will rearrange in descending order of degree;

-5x³yz³ + x³y²

Thus, leading coefficient = 5
