PLEASE HELPPP !!!!!!

The rental rate for a cement mixer has a flat rate of $40 plus $20 for each day of the rental. The graph shows points representing the total cost of the rental.

Which linear equation, in slope-intercept form, models the total cost of the rental over time?

Responses

y = x + 50
y, = , x, + 50

y = 75x
y , = 75, x

y = 50x + 25
y, = 50, x, + 25

y = 20x + 40
y, = 20, x, + 40

y = 25x

Answer:

y = 20x + 40

Explanation:

First of all we use the gradient equation y = mx + c,

where m is the gradient, and c is the y-intercept

We find the gradient using the equation rise / run

The slope has risen 40 and ran along by 2

40/2 = 20

Next, the y-intercept is where the line crosses the y-axis - in this case at 40

So the whole answer is y = 20x + 40
