Given:

Consider the below figure attached with this question.

To find:

The surface area of this solid prism.

Solution:

The surface area of this solid prism is


A=P* h+2B

Where, P is the perimeter of the base, B is the area of the base and h is the height of the prism.

Perimeter of the base is:


P=6+8+10


P=24

Area of the base is:


B=(1)/(2)* base* height


B=(1)/(2)* 8* 6


B=24

Putting
P=24 and
B=24 in the formula for area, we get


A=(24)* 9+2(24)


A=216+48


A=264

Therefore, the surface area of the given prism is 264 m².
