This would be false. A physical change occurs when the state of matter changes form. However in a physical change the makeup of a substance does not change (ex ice is composed of frozen water molecules. When the ice melts water still remains but it is now in a liquid form. When something goes changes from one substance to another it is considered a chemical change ( ex. When metal rusts)
