During a building project, a brick is

dropped from a height of 1,936 ft. If the
equation for height as a function of time is
h(t) = -16t2 initial height where t is time
in seconds and h(t) is height in feet, how
many seconds will it take for the brick to
hit the ground?

Answer:

11 seconds

Explanation:

- 16 {t}^(2) + 1936 = 0

- 16 {t}^(2) = - 1936

{t}^(2) = 121

t = 11
