Why did Americans begin to believe that the United States should not be fighting in Vietnam? What would transform their perspective about our involvement in the war? Give a minimum of two examples.

The American people believed that the U.S would not get involved because they helped Vietnam fight for their victory which lasted for about a year. The second reason was because we weren’t in any was involved, the U.S. kept our involvement to a bare minimum but that changed when Johnson took office. He escalated the involvement of the U.S. and had all power he wanted due to the Tonkin Resolution.
