The complete table of the algae area is:
Day 1 2 3 4 5 6
Area 1/2 1 2 4 8 16
How to complete the table?
The initial area is given as;
A(1) = 1/2 square meters
When it doubles every day, we have:
A(n) = 2 * A(n - 1) where A(1) = 2
So, we have the following values
A(2) =1/2 * 2 = 1
A(3) =1*2 = 2
A(4) = 2 * 2 = 4
A(5)=4*2=8
A(6) = 8 * 2 = 16
Hence, the complete table is:
Day 1 2 3 4 5 6
Area 1/2 1 2 4 8 16
