You charge your cell phone every night while you are sleeping.

Throughout the school day you see your cell phone battery slowly decline. By
lunchtime your cell phone is almost dead. You remember in science class your
teacher saying that energy can't be created or destroyed. If the energy in your cell
phone battery wasn't destroyed, where did it go? Explain your answer,

Answer:Simple, it gets used up by the phone.

Explanation:Your phone uses the energy stored in the battery to perform the functions it does. Chemical energy gets converted to light (display), sound (speakers), electrical (internal processing of the phone), thermal (phone getting heated up), and to other forms.
