The difference between the digits of a two digit

number is 1. The number itself is 1 more than 5 times
the Sum of Its digit. If the units digit is greater than
the tens digit, find the number.

Number with two digits = 10y + x

x > y


x-y = 1

10y + x = 5(x+y) + 1

x = y + 1

10y + y + 1 = 5(y+1 +y) + 1

11y + 1 = 5(2y+1) + 1

11y + 1 = 10y + 5 + 1

11y - 10y = 5

y = 5


x = 5 + 1 = 6
