y= sin x is the red wave

y= sin 2x is the blue wave

y=2 sin x is the green wave

Each graph is obviously a wave in shape but where they all differentiate is in the frequency and amplitude of the wave. Meaning how often a wave cycle repeats in the functional and how high and low the wave cycles actually get. That is where the difference takes place sinx has wider wave cycles than the other two. sin2x has the shortest wave cycles, almost twice for everyone red wave cycle. While 2sinx has the highest and lowest amplitude of all of the waves.
