Two angles are complementary. One angle is 15 more than half the other. Find the angles. Note: Complementary angles are angles whose measures sum to 90°.​

Answer:

50 and 40

Explanation:

lets call 2 angles x and y

as they are complimentary we can say

(1): x+y=90

also we know one angel let's say "y" is 15 more than half of the other which means

(2): y = 15 + x/2

now we put y from 2nd equation into 1st equation. So

x+15+x/2 = 90

so

1.5x = 90-15 = 75

so x = 50

and y= 90 - 50 = 40
