24 month is 2 years so it would be 6% interest in total
So 1% of 3000 is 30
So 6% of 3000 is 180
180 + 3000 = 3180

Answer:

They should pay AED 180 as interest.

Explanation:

Simple interest:

P = The amount borrowed = AED 3000

R = rate of interest = 3% per year

t = time = 24 months = 24 ÷ 12 = 2 years

\sf \boxed{Interest = PRt}

Substitute the values,

\sf = 3000 * (3)/(100)*2\\\\ = 30*3*2\\\\=AED \ 180
