x = 1

Explanation:

{ \orange{ \tt{ - 4(x + 1) + 6x}}}

Multiply -4 with (x+1) then the Eqⁿ becomes

{ \orange{ \tt{ - 4x - 4 + 6x}}}

Step (1):-
{ \red{ \sf{combine \: like \: terms}}}

You can see the like terms i.e. -4x and 6x. Now, add this like terms.

{ \orange{ \tt{ - 4x + 6x - 4}}}

{ = \orange{ \tt {2x - 4}}}

Step (2):-
{ \red{ \sf{ common \: factor}}}

Take 2 as common in 2x-4 then,

{ \orange{ \tt{2(x - 2)}}}

{ \orange{ \tt{2x - 2 = 0}}}

{ \orange{ \tt{2x = 2}}}
