Draw the rectangles and divide them each into 6. 1/3 is just going to be 2 sections of that rectangle. You can shade in first 4 whole rectangles, then 1 to represent the whole numbers. For 2/6, just shade in 2 sections! For 1/3, shade in 2 as well, because 1/3 and 2/6 are equivalent. Count up your rectangles and sections, and you should get a sum of 5 4/6, which can be simplified into 5 2/3.
