Explanation:

with 45 45 90 triangles which is what ACB is. the hypotenuse can be equalized with
x√(2) and the two legs have a length of x

so the side length for AB and BC is 6.

and since Triangle BCD is a 30 60 90 triangle.

the side lengths that would be corresponding would have the ratio of

x,
x√(3), and 2x

so if 2x=6 x=3

then the value for x or BD is 3
