1. The Exponent out of the parenthesis would be multiplied by the exponent in the parenthesis

(5^2)^4*5^5

5^8*5^5

2. Since the exponents have the same base, when they are multiplied you will keep the same base, and the exponents will add up

5^8*5^5=5^13
