3(2x + 5) - 7 = 2x + 32
Multiply 2x and 5 by so that you are left with 6x + 15
6x + 15 - 7 = 2x + 32
Add like terms
6x + 8 = 2x + 32
Move like terms to the same side
6x - 2x = 32 - 8
Add like terms
4x = 24
Divide both sides by 4
x = 6
Now plug in 6 for x into the original equation and left side equals right side
