The answer, I believe is 94.5
First simplify the equation as 2x+2/4=189.5
Then do the inverse operation of adding (subtraction) for 2/4 on both sides, leaving you with 2x=189 and finally divide 189 by 2, 189/2 =94.5 2x/2= (1)x.
