Given △ C AT ≅ △DOG, m∠C = 25° , and m∠O = 37° , what is the measure of ∠G?

Explanation:

The congruence statement that says:

△CAT ≅ △DOG,

says not only that the triangles are the same shape and size, it also says //which// angles (and sides) are conguent.

Angle C and Angle D are the same. Angle A and Angle O are the same. And Angle T and Angle G are the same.

So in △CAT, Angle C is 25° and Angle A (same as O) is 37°.

Also, all the angles in a triangle add up to 180°.

25° + 37° + T = 180°

62° + T = 180°

T = 118°

And T corresponds to G, so AngleG is also 118°.
