40 POINTS PLEASE I NEED THIS ASAP!!!!

It was "illegal" to aid and comfort a Jew in Hitler's Germany. But I am sure that, if I had lived in Germany during that time, I would have aided and comforted my Jewish brothers even though it was illegal.

Hitler didn’t own Germany, but he was a very large public figure during this time and he had lots of power over what happened in Germany. this is why Germany at the time was referred to as “Hitlers Germany”, because he had taken over.

describe the authors tone:
The authors tone is sympathetic, they are describing how sure they were that they would have helped a jewish person if they had been alive during that time. they feel sympathy for jewish people.

describe the readers mood:
(however you felt about the text, this is a personal question)

explain the effect this excerpt has on the audience:
the effect this has on the audience is showing how even though it was illegal to help a jewish person, the author would have. this makes the reader feel empowered and maybe even confident that they would do the same.
