carol is a vegan and does not eat dairy foods. is it possible for her to obtain the daily recommended amount of calcium from a diet without taking supplements?

Since Many alkaline foods such as broccoli contain a natural source of calcium supplements may not be necessary with a calcium rich diet from food that is dairy free.However supplements can have added benefits depending on how depleted a person is of this nutrient as the calcium provided by non dairy foods can be limited.
