Any number higher than 3

Ex. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, etc

Explanation:

4x + 6 < 2x + 12

-2x -2x

---------------------

2x + 6 < 12

-6 -6

------------------

2x < 6

÷2 ÷2

-----------

x < 3

Since x is less than 3, any number higher than 3 will make the inequality false. For Ex. 4

4(4) + 6 < 2(4) + 12

16 + 6 < 8 + 12

22 < 20 (false)
