I am working on a research essay about child abuse which my research question is "What are the signs or symptoms of child abuse and neglect?" and right now I need to write a transition statement that leads into my thesis, this is my hook and thesis, Hook is before the transition statement and the thesis is after the statement. HOOK: Sometimes it is rough to figure out the signs of child abuse but you can figure it out by these little signs. Child abuse if a serious thing and damage the kid for his whole life.
THESIS STATEMENT: Child abuse and neglect affect children’s health now and later, and costs to our country are significant. Neglect, physical abuse, custodial interference, and sexual abuse are types of child maltreatment that can lead to poor physical and mental health well into adulthood. People that suffered or is suffering from child abuse or neglect may act out such as behavior problems, not showing up to school, doing bad in school, no longer doing activities.
