−3>−2x+7

Swap sides so that all variable terms are on the left hand side. This changes the sign direction.

−2x+7<−3

Subtract 7 from both sides.

−2x<−3−7

Subtract -7 from −3 to get −10.

−2x<−10

Divide both sides by −2. Since −2 is negative, the inequality direction is changed.

x > ( - 10)/( - 2)

Divide −10 by −2 to get 5.

x>5
