Subtract the linear expressions. Show your work.
(4-3x + 9x) - (-11-7x + 9)

13x + 6

First distribute the negative (-1) outside of the parentheses to each term inside of the parentheses. In each linear expression there are like terms: those with variable x and constants. These can be combined (I.e., added or subtracted from one another).
