A dolphin is swimming at a depth of 3 feet. It jumps out of the water to a height of 4 feet above the surface of the water. What is the total distance the dolphin jumped?

unless there's some speed that I'm supposed to put into the calculation, then it's just 3+4 which equals 7

It would be 1 because three would be negative because it would be below sea level which is always negative when it jumps out of the water at 4 feet making it one.
