Emma bought 2kg of fruit. 25% of the weight was pineapple. 10% of the weight was bananas. The rest was apples. How many grams of apples than bananas did emma buy?

Explanation:

weight of fruit = 2kg

percentage of weight of fruit = 100%

percentage of weight of pineapple = 25%

weight of pineapple = 25/100 ×2

= 0.5kg

percentage of weight of bananas = 10%

weight of bananas = 10/100 × 2

= 0.2kg

weight of apples = weight of fruit - ( weight of pineapple + weight of bananas)

= 2kg -(0.5 + 0.2)kg

= 2kg -0.7kg

= 1.3kg

The weight of apples than bananas emma bought was =1.3kg-0.2kg

=1.1kg

therefore emma bought 1.1kg of apples than bananas.
