To find the slope we must find the change in y over the change in x. Δ

Or rise over run.
(rise)/(run)

In the graph, we have two "good" points. (0, -6) and (4,0)

So for Δy 0 to -6 = -6

So -6 goes on top
(-6)/(x)

Now Δx goes from 4 to 0 so the change would be -4.

So now it becomes
(-6)/(-4)

Since there are two negatives it becomes a positive.
(6)/(4) Or simply put,
(3)/(2)
