x = -4

Explanation:

Solution:-

{ \blue{ \sf{f(x) = - 4x + 8}}}

In order to find the value of x, put 24 in the place of f(x) (given) then,

{ \blue{ \sf{24 = - 4x + 8}}}

{ \blue{ \sf{24 - 8 = - 4x}}}

{ \blue{ \sf{16 = - 4x}}}

We should find the value of x. So divide bith the sides by -4. then,

{ \blue{ \sf{ - (16)/(4) = ( - 4)/( - 4) x}}}

{ \bold{ \boxed{ \red{ \sf{ -4 = x}}}}} \: (or) \: { \bold{ \boxed{ \red{ \sf{x = - 4}}}}}

Answer:

f(x) = - 4x + 8 = 24 \\ \\ = > - 4x + 8 = 24 \\ \\ => - 4x = 24 - 8 = 16 \\ = > - 4x = 16 \\ = > x = ( - 16)/(4) = - 4 \\ \\

Explanation:

Sᴏ ᴛʜᴇ value of x= -4
