1836 Santa Anna!s army attacks THE ALAMO the name of the fort the Texans where the rebels were waiting.
189 Americans v 4, 000 Mexicans.
Americans fought like hell for two weeks before being defeated
3 months later Sam Houston led the rebel army shouting " REMEMBER THE ALAMO" this fight led to independence for Texas in defeating the Mexican army.
