Answer:

by using Pythagoras law

p²+b²=h²

p²+36²=39²

p²=39²-36²=225

p=√225=15

remaining length=15unit

Answer:

\boxed{15}

Explanation:

First using the Pythagorean theorem, we know the hypotenuse
(c^2) is 39 and one of the legs
(b^2) is 36. So we would have:

a^2+36^2=39^2=a^2+1296=1521\\\text{Subtract 1296 on both sides:}\\a^2=225\\\text{find the square root of 225}\\√(225)=15

So we have our answer as
\boxed{15}

Hope this helps.
