The domain is ALWAYS the X value. So the domain is 1,2,3 and 3!! While the Range side is always the Y value so the range is -8,-5,-2, and 1.

Explanation:

Domain is the x value and Range is the y value. (A way to remember is by saying dr since domain is x and range is y)

Y value is also called f(x) as shown on your screen

The points are

(1,-8)

(2,5)

(3,-2)

(4,1)

The domain would be 4,3,2,1 and the range would be -8,-2,1,5

The common difference is that the domain follows a constant change of rate, but not the range.

A constant change of rate means that it's changing at a constant rate.

It can also be called slope.

E.G: 1,2,3,4 (constant change of rate is adding 1) or 9,6,3,0 (subtracting 3)

The domain is subtracting 1, yet the range isn't following a constant change of rate.

A way to find slope is in the image.
