Answer: C

When solving for x in an inequality, it is a similar process to solving for x in an equation. The only exception to this rule is when you are multiplying or dividing a negative to solve for x, in which case you need to flip the sign to preserve the inequality. Since 6 is nonnegative and you are dividing -12 the sign does not switch. A good way to make sure that you did not make a mistake is to find a number that satisfies both equations for values for x.
