Explanation: Serbia-Montenegro competed in the 2006 FIFA World Cup even though they were not a country! The reason why it wasn't was because they had both been the remnants of broken-up Yugoslavia. Theirs was a political union that didn't go on till later but hey! at least they got to play the game.
