Mr. Smith wrote the equation (16 – 2w )2 + [3y ÷ (3z )] on his board. He told his students the values of each variable: w =5, y =9, and z =3. What is the solution to Mr. Smith’s equation?

Answer: 15

Explanation:

So basically, its (16-2*5)2+[3*9/(3*3)] which is (16-10)2+[27/9]

16*2=32, 10*2=20, 32-20=12 and 27/9=3

12+3=15
