Answer: x=6

Explanation:

To get the perimeter of a square, you have to add up its 4 sides. If one side is represented by 3x-1, then you have to multiply this by 4 as there are 4 sides.

(3x-1) x 4 = 12x-4

12x-4 is equal to the perimeter of the square, therefore 12x-4=68

This is the same as 12x=72

Divide both sides by 12

x=6
