Answer:

245 ft sq

Explanation:

Find the are of the triangle and the square seperatly.

Area of a square is A = s * s

A = 14 * 14 = 196 ft sq

Focusing on the triangle, the dotted line is the same length as the bottom of the square. 14 ft

Area of a triangle is A = 1/2 * b * h

A = 1/2 * 14 * 7

A = 7 * 7

A = 49 ft sq

So, 196 + 49 = 245

Answer:

420 ft^2

Explanation:

h = \sqrt{25 ^(2) - 7 }

= √(570)

= 24

a = (1)/(2) (b1 + b2)h

= (1)/(2) (14 + 21)(24)

answer = 420ft ^(2)
