We have the general formula for the volume of a cylinder:

V=\pi\cdot r^2\cdot h

where 'r' is the radius of the base and 'h' is the height of the cylinder. In this case, we have the following:

\begin{gathered} \pi=3.1416 \\ r=3in \\ h=10in \\ \Rightarrow V=(3.1416)(3)^2(10)=(3.1416)(90)=282.744^{} \\ V=282.74in^3 \end{gathered}

therefore, the volume of the cylinder is 282.74 in^3
