Given the equation

Make x the subject and simplify

$\begin{gathered} -3x=8-4 \\ -3x=4 \\ x=(4)/(-3) \\ x=-(4)/(3) \\ x=-1(1)/(3) \end{gathered}$

Hence, the value of x = -4/3 = -1 1/3
