Hailey is shopping at a department store during a 20% off everything sale. She also has a coupon for $5.00 off the sale amount. Halley wants to keep her total under $65.00 before tax, so she creates this inequality: 0.80x - $5.00 s $65.00. Which inequality represents all possible solutions for x?

Given the inequality 0.80x - $5.00 < $65.00, we are to find the possible solutions for te values of x and this is as shpwn below;

0.80x - $5.00 < $65.00

Add 5.00 to both sides

0.80x - $5.00 + 5.00 < $65.00 + 5.00

0.80x < 70.00

Divide both sides by 0.80

0.80x/0.80 < 70/0.80

x < $87.5

Hence all possible solutions for x are the values less than $87.5
