Given the function:

y=-2x-1

We are going to do a table, finding the y and x intercepts and some values else to can graph.

X=0.

\begin{gathered} y=-2(0)-1 \\ y=-1 \end{gathered}

y=0.

\begin{gathered} 0=-2x-1 \\ -2x=1 \\ x=(1)/(2) \end{gathered}

x=1

y=-2*1-1=-3

x=-1

y=-2*(-1)-1=2-1=1

Replacing the values on the table.

We are going to graph the values:

The plot points are, looking at the table:

(0 , -1)

(-1/2 , 0)

(1 , -3)

(-1 , 1)

(2 , -5)

(-2 , 3)

Y=-2x-16-4-2-9-2--6--8-X-example-1
Y=-2x-16-4-2-9-2--6--8-X-example-2
Y=-2x-16-4-2-9-2--6--8-X-example-3
Y=-2x-16-4-2-9-2--6--8-X-example-4
