Solution:

Given:

3x+5y=-2

This is a linear equation.

It could be written in other forms as;

1) Slope-intercept form

\begin{gathered} y=mx+b \\ \\ \text{Hence,} \\ 3x+5y=-2 \\ \text{Making y the subject of the formula,} \\ 5y=-3x-2 \\ \text{Dividing both sides by 5,} \\ y=-(3)/(5)x-(2)/(5) \end{gathered}

Hence, in slope-intercept form, the equation can be written as;

y=-(3)/(5)x-(2)/(5)

2) The equation could also be written taking all terms to one side and equating to zero,

\begin{gathered} 3x+5y=-2 \\ 3x+5y+2=0 \end{gathered}

Therefore, another form the equation could be written is;

3x+5y+2=0
