Two factors that will give you -10X^2 when multiplied and 3x when added are

5x and -2x

\begin{gathered} 5x*-2x=-10x^2 \\ \text{and} \\ 5x\text{ + (-2x) = 3X} \end{gathered}

X^2 + 5X -2X -10 =0

We equate the expression to zero to find the zeroes

factorizing we have

x(x+5) -2(x+5) = 0

(x+5) (x-2) = 0

x+5 = 0 ; x =-5

x-2 =0 ; x = 2

the zeroes are x = 2 and -5
