In some 4.0 grading systems, a student's grade point average (GPA) is calculated by assigning letter grades the following numerical values.A = 4.00 B− = 2.67 D+ = 1.33A− = 3.67 C+ = 2.33 D = 1.00B+ = 3.33 C = 2.00 D− = 0.67B = 3.00 C− = 1.67 F = 0.00Course Course Grade Course UnitsEnglish A 3Anthropology A 3Chemistry B 4French C+ 3Theatre B+ 2Use this grading system to determine the following.(a) the weighted grade points that the student earned for each courseEnglish _____, Anthropology _____, Chemistry _____, French _____, Theatre _____(b) the total number of course units that the student was enrolled in this semester _____(c) the student's GPA (Round to the nearest hundredth.) _____

(a) The weighted grade points that the student earned for each course:

English: 4 x 3 = 12.

Anthropology: 4 x 3 = 12

Chemistry: 3 x 4 = 12

French: 2.33 x 3 = 6.99

Theatre: 3.33 x 2 = 6.66

(b) The total number of course units that the student was enrolled in this semester:

3 + 3 + 4 + 3 + 2 = 15.

(c) The student's GPA (Round to the nearest hundredth.):

To find the students GPA, we find the sum of the multiplication of each numerical grade(A is 4, A- is 3.67 and so on) and the credit load of the course, divided by the number of courses.

\text{GPA =}\frac{\text{ }4\text{ x 3 + 4 x 3 + 3 x 4 + 2.33 x 3 +3.33 x 2 }}{3\text{ + 3 + 4 + 3 + 2}}\text{ = 3.31}
