Parallel lines have the same slope

The form of the equation is y = m x + b

m is the slope

The given equation is

y=(3)/(5)x+6

its slope = 3/5

The equation of the parallel line must have the same slope

So the answer is

y=(3)/(5)x+10

Answer A

The product of the slopes of the perpendicular lines is -1

So if the slope of one of them is m, then the slope of the other is -1/m

we reciprocal the number and change the sign

since the slope of the line is 3/5

Reciprocal it to be 5/3 and change its sign, then

The slope of the perpendicular line is

-(5)/(3)

So the equation of the perpendicular line is

y=-(5)/(3)x+10
