I'm not sure how to approach this function and determine odd, even or neither.

Answer:

Neither

Explanations:

For an even function, the graph is symmtrical ablut the y-axis

f(x) = f(-x)

For an odd function, the graph is symmetrical about the origin

f(-x) = -f(x)

In the graph shown:

f(-x) ≠ f(x)

Also, f(-x) ≠ -f(x)

For example:

f(-2) = 4. while f(2) = 0

Therefore, since f(-x) ≠ f(x) ≠ -f(x), the function is neither an odd nor even function
