JoAnn, a seamstress wants to sell in her boutique. She needs 1 yards of cloth and she has a piece of cloth 360 ft in length. How many blouses can she make from the piece of cloth.

To answer this question we need to remember that one yard is equal to 3 ft. Then we divide the total lenght in ft by three to know how many yards we have:


(360)/(3)=120

Then we have 120 yd of cloth; since each blouse need 1 yard we can make 120 blouses.
